Paper writing and publication workshop for the academic staff of the Polytechnic scheduled for 18th and 19th of August 2015 is shifted to mid September at Ekowe campus of the Federal Polytechnic. The new date will be communicated via this platform.

This workshop is designed to expose the teaching community of the Federal Polytechnic to writing, publication and presentation skills as well as access to data generating tools using available and free online resources and e-libraries. The in-house workshop organized by the Ag. Director for Academic Planning/Linkages, Dr. Blessing Okogbue is targeted to leave the participants with the ability to do the following:

•   Write a good paper

• Develop skills and acquire tools for writing and editing scientific manuscripts
•  Know which journal to publish with and the various journal styles and requirements 
• Use online resources and libraries to generate literature for paper writing 
• Learn some tools for respective data collection, analysis and interpretation 
• Write brief proposal applications for research, workshops and conference sponsorships 
• Write a brief CV or bios as a professional marketing tool 
• Acquire practical presentation skills – prepare power points and design posters 
• Sign up with at least  one professional social media group or network and locate a professional organization to register for membership
